Permalinks

All Topics/Service Requests can be accessed via the following "Permalinks":

  http://<PORTAL_URL>/tp/<ID>.<PERMALINK>.html

WHERE:

  <PORTAL_URL> - is the url of your portal

  <ID> - system generated ID for the Topic/Service Request

  <PERMALINK> - system generated name derived from the Topic/Service
                request Title (this can be changed by an administrator)

Permalinks are designed to be static with no URL parameters so that search 
engines and people can easily reference and find content on the internet.

If you change Permalink the old Permalink will no longer work making all links 
that reference to it invalid.

HASHJOIN will automatically handle the new Permalink but if you have given the 
old Permalink to someone or if someone referenced the old Permalink elsewhere 
on the internet those links will no longer work.

For this reason we recommend not to change Permalinks unless you know for sure 
that it's not being referenced externally.
